A large proportion of pools are constructed using a liner with walls built from prefabricated steel or GRP panels or blockwork.  This provides a faster method of construction, however more individual designs can be created using concrete with a tiled finish.

Above ground pools are either plastic or with wooden surround.  These can be provided either fully installed or as DIY kits.

Commercial pools are also available.
